A. Information You Provide Directly

• Vendor listing data: Business name, address, category, description, pricing, photos, website URL and contact details when you list a business.
• Booking & enquiry data: Event date, guest count, budget, special requirements and messages when you enquire or book a vendor.
• Review data: Star rating, review title and written review when you submit a vendor review.
• Payment data: When you make payments, your transaction is processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card or UPI credentials. We receive a transaction reference and payment status only.
• Contact form data: Name, email, phone and message when you contact us.

B. Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: Pages visited, search queries, filters used, vendors viewed and time spent on pages.
• Device data: Browser type, operating system, screen resolution and device type.
• IP address and location: Approximate geographic location derived from IP address.
• Cookies: See Section 4 for full details on cookies we use.

C. Information from Third Parties

• If you connect social media accounts (future feature), we may receive basic profile data like name and email.
• Payment status and transaction IDs from Razorpay.

• Marketing (with consent): To send you wedding tips, vendor spotlights and promotional content if you have opted in. You may unsubscribe at any time.
• Legal compliance: To comply with applicable Indian laws including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and related rules.
• Fraud prevention: To detect and prevent fraudulent activity, fake reviews and policy violations.

3. Information Sharing

We share your information only in the following situations:

• With vendors you contact: When you send an enquiry or booking request, your name, phone number, email and event details are shared with the vendor you are contacting.
• With couples who enquire: When a couple contacts your vendor listing, their contact details are shared with you.
• Service providers: We share data with trusted service providers who help us operate — Razorpay (payments), hosting providers, email delivery services. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order or government authority under Indian law.
• Business transfer: If ShaadiGujarat is acquired or merged, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.
• With your consent: We may share your information in any other way with your explicit consent.

We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers or unrelated third parties.

4. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience on ShaadiGujarat.

Types of cookies we use:

• Essential cookies: Required for the website to function — login sessions, CSRF protection, shopping cart. You cannot opt out of these.

• Payment data is handled entirely by Razorpay under PCI DSS compliance. We never store card numbers or UPI IDs.
• Access to your personal data is restricted to authorised ShaadiGujarat staff who need it to perform their duties.
• We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 6).
• Booking and transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years for legal and tax compliance.

6. Your Rights & Choices

As a user of ShaadiGujarat, you have the following rights:

• Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: You may update your personal information through your account dashboard at any time.
• Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
• Portability: You may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Opt-out of marketing: You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by updating your account preferences.
• Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.

9. Vendor-Specific Privacy

If you are registered as a vendor on ShaadiGujarat, please note:

• Your business name, description, photos, pricing and contact information are publicly visible to all visitors.
• Couple enquiry details shared with you must be used solely for responding to that enquiry and not for unsolicited marketing.
• You are responsible for handling couple data in compliance with applicable privacy laws.
• If your listing is removed, publicly visible business data may remain in search engine caches for a period of time beyond our control.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users via email and display a prominent notice on our website. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of ShaadiGujarat after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
